Julianne Pepperill

Julianne is from Sterling Station which is Anmatyerre country near Alice Springs and Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory of Australia. Julianne lives with her husband and fellow artist, Paul Janima-Purvis.  Paul is the son of Barbara Panika and brother of the Numina sisters.  Paul’s aunts are Kathleen and Gloria Petyarre who are famous artists.

Julianne is well know for painting "Bush Medicine Leaves" as well as her traditional artwork that belongs to her desert people of Central Australia and represents body markings for women's ceremonial business and stories for hunting and gathering in their traditional country.
